Work Responsibilities

My research focuses on the presence of metal species in the Oseberg artefacts and how they contribute to wood decay, looking particularly into decomposition of alum and corrosion of iron components. This includes characterisation of metal compounds present in various objects and regions within objects, correlation of inorganic species with wood condition and model experiments to further investigate the potential effects of such compounds on wood.
