Collegium Medievale: Society for Medieval Research


Collegium Medievale: Society for Medieval Research is an interdisciplinary association for scholars engaged in research on the Middle Ages. The association has its basis in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Oslo but is also open to members from other research milieus either domestic or foreign.

Objectives:
The association has as its objectives the promotion of research on topics relating to the Middle Ages or the Renaissance and contributing to interdisciplinary contact and co-operation between persons engaged in such research by gathering them together for scholarly and social activities.
Activities:
The association Collegium Medievale publishes a journal by the same name. The association arranges lectures, seminars and excursions with relevance for the Middle Ages in Norway and the rest of Europe.
Membership:
Scholars engaged in medieval research are invited to apply for membership in the association. The annual membership fee is NOK 300. Members of the society receive the journal Collegium Medievale free of charge.
