The Periodical Futhark: International Journal of Runic
Studies
A new scholarly annual, Futhark: International Journal
of Runic Studies, began publication in 2010, the first issue appearing in December. The periodical will be published annually in digital form, with facility for print-on-demand.
The periodical is an independent publication, but has as its base of operations the Runic Archives
at the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo, and the Department of Scandinavian Languages (and Uppsala Runic Forum), Uppsala University).
Main editors: Prof. James E. Knirk (University of Oslo) and Prof. Henrik
Williams (Uppsala University). Assistant editor: Ph.D. Marco Bianci (Uppsala University).
Advisory board: Prof. em. Michael P. Barnes (University
College London), Prof. em. Klaus Düwel (University of Göttingen),
Prof. em. Lena Peterson (Uppsala University), Senior Scholar Marie Stoklund
(National Museum, Copenhagen).
The first issue of the journal (30 MB) is available at http://www.futhark-journal.com. Individual articles can if desired be downloaded separately. Print-on-demand copies at a reasonable price can also be ordered at that site.
