Subscription to Nytt om runer

Nytt om runer is a yearly publication of the latest news in runic research. Numbers are scheduled for publication in December each year and concern events which occurred during the preceding full year. The issue for 2005 was thus scheduled to appear in December 2005 and should then contain information concerning 2004. The main topics are: new runic finds, conferences and research projects, and runic bibliography.

Unfortunately, the periodical is at present, November 2005, two years behind schedule. Nytt om runer 18 for 2003 will appear in December 2005. The numbers for 2004 and 2005 are scheduled to appear in 2006.

Nytt om runer first appeared in 1986. For the simplification of payment from foreign countries, subscription periods of five years are employed. All back issues are still available. As of the second subscription period, the publication of a five-year runic bibliography covering the preceding subscription period is included in the subscription price. Subscriptions cost:

• 1986-90: NOK 50
• 1991-95: NOK 150
• 1996-2000: NOK 200
• 2001-2005: NOK 200

Note: The five-year runic bibliographies that were previously announced will be published in electonic form on this web site; there will be no paper edition.

Subscriptions to Nytt om runer are now handled by the accounting office of the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo. Since one in Norway incurs a cashing fee for foreign checks, an extra NOK 50 must be added to checks sent from foreign countries; this applies also to checks made out in Norwegian crowns. Invoices sent to non-Norwegian addresses will automatically include this fee.
