The Vestby hoard.

Reconstruction of the provenance of the objects. After the farmer had ploughed up large bronze neck rings two years in a row, he started to dig, and found a third neck ring and the rest of the ritual deposit at a depth of approximately half a metre. The deposited objects were were originally placed within and on top of each other, approximately as shown in the picture. Illustration: Lene Melheim and Julie Lund.
