In the summer of 1834 a homemaker worked at Nedre Hon farm in Øvre Eiker in Buskerud. He was to help the farmer drain a marsh on the property. During the trench work, he got the surprise of his life when he unearthed Norway's largest gold treasure from the Viking Age.
