Dance artist Ann-Christin Kongsness talks with Swedish choreographer Malin Hellkvist Sellén about her performance The Missionary. The conversation focuses on the queer-feminist perspective Sellèn uses in her artistic work. The Missionary will be playing 27-29 June at Scenehuset in Bogstadveien, see the performance event on Facebook.

Welcome to the spectacular opening of this year's Pride exhibition at the Historical Museum! Oslo's cherished Mayor Marianne Borgen will officially open the exhibition. Artur Wilczynski, Canada's ambassador to Norway, will offer diplomatic greetings and mezzosoprano Adriano Angelico will sing love arias. DJ Bright Eye aka Fethawit Hakin will create an additional party atmosphere and refreshments will be served. This seminar explores Orhan Pamuk's museum vision in conjunction with the exhibition "Orhan Pamuk: The Art of Fiction" at The Museum of Cultural History. The program features international scholars within—amongst other subjects—museology, cultural studies and social anthropology, and is organized in cooperation with The Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages at the University of Oslo

In June, a new exhibition opens in the museum's red zone about «nightlife», culture and life related to bars, clubs and other venues for lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender people. Gay Clubbing is the result of a collaborative project between Queer Archives (Skeivt arkiv) at the University Library in Bergen, Kunstplass 10 and the Museum of Cultural History. The exhibition opens in conjunction with Oslo Pride in June 2017 and is displayed in the Historical Museum from the opening party on 22 June at 6PM to 27 August, 2017.

Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk's 2009 novel The Museum of Innocence is an ode to Istanbul, as well as being a classical love story. In 2012 Pamuk opened a museum with the same name in Istanbul, and in 2017 the novelist will visit the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
