New exhibition The Sea is History

The exhibition displays the works of ten international contemporary artists with themes relating to migration and displacement.

The exhibition The Sea is History sheds a critical light on colonial power structures and covers a period starting from the African slave trade to the present day.

Welcome to a visually captivating and aesthetic exhibition that includes installations, videos and works on paper. Selene Wendt is the curator. The exhibition includes works from among others: Isaac Julian, John Akomfrah and Manthia Diawara.

The exhibition is supported by Arts Council Norway, the Goethe-Institute and Fritt Ord.
