The Coronation, December 29 1911

Rustad captured four photographs on the day of Bogd Khaan's coronation. Three photographs show the coronation procession, set up between the Winter Palace (today's Bogd Khaan Palace Museum) and the Yellow Palace, where nine ger-palaces were erected on the occasion (today, approximately Sükhbaatar Square). Mamen and Rustad were waiting close to the ger-palaces.
