Book launch: The Institute for Comparative Research in Human Culture

The book tells the story of the Institute for Comparative Cultural Differences, which was established in the wake of World War I. The author Jon Røyne Kyllingstad shows how the institute was characterized by both nationalist and internationalist activities and ideals, and discuss the institute's paradoxical development in the meeting point between comparative cultural studies and nation centered historiography.
