The digital curation at the MCH reflects the many-faceted mission of the museum as a whole with management of object and archive collections, active field work, museum exhibitions, and outreach activities. A guiding principle in our work is making data findable, accessible, inter-operable and reusable – known as FAIR for short. This entails bringing together diverse datasets and documentation methods with an aim of making the information accessible as well for research and teaching as for the general public. The current presentation focuses on the ongoing efforts for the documentation of the Collections of Classical and Egyptian Antiquities, with a special emphasis on initiatives for the recording and sharing of three-dimensional data. A practical demonstration of some of the open portals managed by the museum will accompany a discussion on the methodological considerations underpinning the chosen approaches.
