The presentation will examine how a combination of a high degree of anonymity and weak regulation makes the art market vulnerable to criminal exploitation. Through interviews with Norwegian art dealers, their perceptions of the risk of crime in the market and their awareness of their own exposure are explored. Furthermore, the measures they implement to prevent illegal items from entering the market are discussed.
